Is a symbolic ceremony in Portugal legally binding?
No, a symbolic ceremony has no legal effect. Most couples therefore have their civil wedding in Germany beforehand. Alternatively, a civil wedding directly in Portugal is possible and is recognised in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Can we have a symbolic ceremony on the beach or on a cliff?
Yes. Ceremonies on the beach or on a cliff require an official permit – we obtain it for you.
Does the celebrant speak German?
Yes, we work with a German-speaking celebrant who writes a personal, individual speech about you.
Which rituals are possible?
